Navy Pier

There is a multitude of things to do at Navy Pier! There are stores, restaurants, movie theaters, and of course the famous Ferris Wheel along with other rides and attractions. You can catch a boat and ride around Lake Michigan with a guide and find out all about the history of Chicago and its buildings.

Navy Pier was originallyfor recreational and shipping purposes and has since turned into a top notch entertaining spot. It is an historic piece of Chicago, it has undergone several "facelifts" to transform it to what it is today.

There is a children's history musuem, a shakespeare theater amongst other cultural attractions besides the shopping and eating I mentioned above.

One of many favorite things to do

One of my favorite things to do in Chicago is to go to Sears Tower!
Its the tallest building in the US, and there is one taller in Canada.

You can ride the elevator up 103 floors to see the amazing view, which encompasses on a clear day Lake Michigan, Chicago (of course), Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The elevator takes you up in about 60 seconds, which is really fast!
The view at night is just spectacular especially on a clear night. I do caution though if you are afraid of heights I do not recommend that you go out onto the skydeck!

What to do in Chicago

When you arrive in Chicago the first time, you will probably be overwhelmed especially if you arrive by plane at O’Hare International Airport. This airport is crazy and one the nation’s busiest airports. I recommend taking a cab to your hotel. It is super crazy and super scary to drive in Chicago if you have never done it before! My goal on this blog is to try and educate you on all there is to do in Chicago from walking, biking, taking tours, shopping and taking in one of the local sports teams if you so wish. Hopefully, you are as excited about this as I am to write about one of my favorite places of all time ~Happy Reading!!!!
