This book teaches you how to effectively create a Google+ account or profile in literally ten minutes. It explains it great easy to read and follow detail how to navigate around what could otherwise be a confusing site. At first glance, the home page or profile page can be overwhelming if you don’t know what to do, I started my Google+ profile when it first came out and never did anything with it because I didn’t understand it, and I consider myself a computer savvy person. I found this to be much like Facebook the more I read the book and followed the steps. You can choose a profile picture, cover photo from a standard gallery or your own, upload photo albums or pictures (controlling who has access to them). Have friends or circles; control the notification settings and how and when you receive them. You can also connect and upload contact via iPhone or an android phone or device. Of course there are a multitude of games that are available to play. There is also the chat option, which allows the user to chat with a friend much like you would face to face except that it is on the computer. Google+ plus has one feature that Facebook does not, it’s called “Hangout” you can have friends all talking in a video chat, of course you can choose who you want to hang out with and invite others to join if you like. This would be great for out of town family to talk on a regular basis! You can also use your IPhone or Android devices for this feature as well. You can also use a group chat much like a chat room too. During these hang out sessions you can also add applications and documents for others to see as well. Screen share is another option if multiple people are collaborating on a project or anything else that requires multiple inputs. I followed the steps verbatim (except for the business aspect of it) as I read and followed the book it read just like a recipe of sorts. I found that I like this book better than the “dummy” series. Those books seem to talk down to reader and throw a lot of big words at the reader that will confuse them if they don’t know where to even start. This book starts out easy and continues that way without making you feel like you are an idiot. This book can be accessed through the online library at Proquest.

Montage

I chose to do a montage of sorts with just a few pictures of Chicago, I hope that you find it interesting! I had trouble doing it, my laptop is overheating and doesn't want to work quite right! Due to my disability I am unable to drive by myself. I didn't have anyone to drive for me. I love these pictures as much as I love Chicago!

Chicago

These pictures are from when I went to Chicago for my Uncles Memorial Service. He passed away in May of 2009, we had his memorial on All Saints Day in Nov 2011. We didn't have his remains, my family as I have stated in earlier posts are die hard bears fans. My parents, my aunt and I went to a Bears Game for him after we had a service had our family church the night before. We had a great day, of course the weather was perfectly cold, and the wind was blowing not too terrible but just enough off of Lake Michigan to remind us that we were in Chicago in November! I had a hot dog and a beer at the game for my Uncle, then I had to have some hot chocolate because I was cold!!! Of course, the Bears won that Day, we played against the Detroit Lions!
