Restaurants

There are several restaurants to eat at in Chicago! Of course, there are the normal ones, but one of my favorite ones is the Hard Rock Cafe Chicago! I always eat there. Then you have to eat pizza, I don't have a favorite pizza place actually in Chicago there's one where my Aunt lives that I go to. In Chicago, I will go to just about any pizza place and get pizza I haven't found a bad place yet.

Michael Jordan has a restaurant there too! Its pretty spendy, but you can go in and just walk around which I do all the time when I go there. Its got lots of memorabilia from his Basketball days and from his baseball time.

There is a quaint little German restaurant that is quite popular and I can't remember the name of it for the life of me right now! Its always busy and has a very long wait. Its well worth the wait and the money for the food its delicious.

Then there of course are the Chicago Hot Dogs! They are on every corner! They are great! Whichever way you choose to have them they are amazinng!

Traveling while in Chicago

There are many different ways to travel while in Chicago. You can take a taxi, which of course is more expensive. There is a bus or Chicago Transit Authority, The LOOP, walking (which depending on where I am I like to do) Doesn't matter how frigid it is I always like to walk down Michigan Avenue. There is something magical about it!
You can also take the train into the city, or from the airport into many different destinations. When I was a teenager, my grandma and I used to take the train during the holidays from out by her house into Neiman Marcus, and then walk around Michigan Avenue and look at all the Christmas Lights. I looked forward to it every year. It was one of my favorite things to do with my grandma and my aunt would go with us too!

Da Bears!

Anyone from Chicago knows how die hard fans we are! I love my bears! I have been a fan as long as I can remember, all though I was not born in Illinois, my family is from just north of Chicago and being a Navy dependent I moved around quite a bit. The only house that is still standing from when I grew up is my grandmothers house. Therefore, I call Chicago home! If I were to have any other team other than the Bears as my football team I would probably be disowned. With that being said, I have raised 5 boys and only one of them is a Bears fan! How that happened I don't know. I am very happy that one of them is at least. We have struggled for the last 25 plus years to make it from year to year never knowing whether or not we are going to be in the playoffs or not, we have cheered, jeered, and shed many tears over the Bears! This year though we are doing AWESOME!! I never count them out, but then again I never count them in! I don't bet on them nor do I bet against them!
